Products That Are Best To Ship In Shipping Tubes

If you run an online store, it's important that you think about the various ways that you'll ship your products to your customers around the country and beyond. Square and rectangular boxes are useful for a wide range of items, but the shape of certain items can mean that these boxes won't work. Cardboard shipping tubes, which are available in many different diameters and lengths, can be a viable option for shipping certain items safely. People often associate this shipping product with posters and maps, but there are many other products that are ideal for shipping in a tube. If your store sells any of these products, you'll want to have a supply of shipping tubes on hand.

Rolls Of Fabric

Stores that specialize in sewing products often sell fabric. While you might be able to fold small orders of fabric and ship them with conventional boxes, you'll want shipping tubes for customers who order entire rolls. Most rolls of fabric that your customers buy will fit into shipping tubes, which will give you the confidence that the items will get to their destinations safely.

Fishing Rods

If your online store specializes in fishing goods, fishing rods can present one of the more challenging items to ship. With a shipping tube of an appropriate size, however, you'll have no trouble getting a rod to a customer. Many fishing rods break down into a couple of pieces, so you can disassemble the rod, wrap the two pieces in bubble wrap, and then carefully load everything into a tube.

Guitar Necks

Online musical instrument retailers sell not only instruments, but also various parts that people can use to upgrade their instruments or for custom builds. One such part is a guitar neck, which is long and thin enough to be suitable for shipping in a shipping tube. As with a fishing rod, wrapping the neck in bubble wrap and then securely loading it into the tube will be integral to its safe transit.

Curtain Rods

Some types of curtain rods break down into several small pieces, but this isn't always the case. If your store sells various types of this product, you'll almost certainly have some curtain rods in your inventory that are several feet in length. To effectively ship such products to your customers, you'll want to use shipping tubes. Typically, you'll be able to get away with a narrow-diameter tube, which will allow a rod wrapped in bubble wrap to fit snugly.
